Motivation

I used to work in Africa, but the difficult living conditions had affected my family's health. So I considered if I should leave international cooperation activities. But OPMAC offered me the opportunity to meet the directors through PARTNER, an international career information website. After talking to them, I was attracted by the corporate culture and systems that respect the situation of employees and their families and then I wanted to try working in international cooperation again as OPMAC's consultant.

Reward/Goal

My aim is to become a consultant who can carry out evaluation work involving clients and other stakeholders. OPMAC has a number of senior consultants who are experienced in evaluation in different regions and thematic areas, so they are my role models. In addition, OPMAC also has consultants with different specialisations, such as procurement supervision for yen loans, environmental and social considerations, economic and financial analysis, etc., and the company itself has a spirit of taking on new areas. Therefore, the company offers various opportunities to work with them, not only as an evaluation specialist. Through my participation in various projects, I believe that these experiences will be closely related and create a synergy effect in the future, which will help me to become a knowledgeable and experienced evaluation consultant.

Motivation

Through conversations with acquaintances, I learned about the international development industry and thought it sounded like an interesting job, which led me to join OPMAC in the first place. I had the opportunity to talk with several companies and decided to join OPMAC because I had a good feeling that it was the best fit for me. Another factor in my decision to join OPMAC was that there are many senior consultants with deep knowledge and various backgrounds.

Reward/Goal

I believe that the job of an international development consultant is to help improve the lives of people around the world who are facing difficulties. It requires me to travel to areas that I would never visit on vacation, but when I see (or hear) the positive changes brought about by the projects I am involved in, I can feel the contribution to society. As for my goals, I do not have a clear "I'm going to be a XX!". However, there are many experienced and caring senior consultants here, so I would like to absorb their know-how and become a person who can contribute to society.

Motivation

When I was working in Africa 10 years ago, one of my senior colleagues recommended me development consultant as one of my future careers, which sparked my interest in this occupation. After returning to Japan, I worked as a civil servant. But my desire to revisit Africa for business purpose gradually grew and I began to think about becoming a development consultant. I later interviewed with OPMAC and decided to join the company because OPMAC's job description and working style were exactly what I was looking for.

Reward/Goal

As development consultants often work in teams on each project, I have many opportunities to work with people from different backgrounds and areas of expertise towards a single goal. This is what I find interesting about working as a development consultant. Another challenging but attractive aspect of working as a development consultant is that I can visit developing countries on my foot, work hard and think with local people about how to improve their lives.

To be honest, I don't have a clear goal yet, as this is my first year with the company. But I do want to be involved in my day-to-day work so that I can provide a satisfactory service to our customers.
